The Machame route, also known as the “Whisky Route” is one of the most popular and recommended routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. This popular route with paths through magnificent forests to gain a ridge leading through the moorland zones to the Shira Plateau. It then traverses beneath the glaciated precipices of the Southern Ice fields to join the Barafu Route to the summit. The total Machame route distance is approximately 62 kilometers from gate to gate.
One can complete the Machame route in 6 days. Although 7 days are recommended. Both options include a climb high, sleep low acclimatization day.

Who Can Climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
Anyone from children over the age of 10 to older generations in their 60s and 70s! The seven different Kilimanjaro routes
There are seven established routes that leads to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro 5,895 meters (19,341 ft) above sea level in Tanzania. The routes are Marangu route, Lemosho route, Machame route, Rongai route, Shira route, Northern Circuit route and Umbwe route.
There’s also a decent -Only route which are Mweka route.
