Itinerary Description.
Day 0: Arrival day
Please let us know if you will need transfer & accommodation in Arusha before & after the safari to be included in this tour so we can arrange for you. Our safari manager will meet you at your lodge/hotel in Arusha a day before or in the morning for a short safari briefing.
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Depart early after breakfast from Arusha and drive through the scenic Masai Steppe to Makuyuni Junction. From there, turn left toward Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival at the gate, complete entry formalities and begin your game drive.
Explore the wildlife-rich areas along the Tarangire River, where you can expect to see elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, elands, gerenuks, and a wide variety of bird species.
Enjoy lunch at a picnic site inside the park before continuing your adventure. Later in the afternoon, drive to Mto wa Mbu for your overnight stay at Migombani Campsite or a similar campsite.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, your safari continues with a journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will begin by driving to the gate for check-in, then proceed up to the crater rim. Here, you’ll stop at the viewpoint to enjoy stunning scenery and capture memorable photos before descending 600 meters down the steep wall to the crater floor for an incredible game drive.
This vast caldera, often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World, is home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife. Thanks to its year-round water supply and rich grazing grounds, the crater supports large populations of wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, zebras, elands, hippos, gazelles, and the rare black rhino.
The Ngorongoro Crater also hosts a dense population of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals. Birdlife is abundant, with flocks of flamingos at Lake Magadi, as well as pelicans, ibises, ostriches, geese, and many other species. A packed lunch will be served on the crater floor, allowing you to dine surrounded by this remarkable ecosystem.
In the late afternoon, you will ascend out of the crater and drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
