Babylon Lodge is located at the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in the Northern part of Tanzania. It is 5km from Kilimanjaro National Park Gate through (Marangu route), 95km from Kilimanjaro International Airport and it is the last good hotel on your way to the Rongai route. Whether you are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro using the Marangu route or the Rongai route, the location of Babylon Lodge makes it the ideal place for one to stay a night before or after the Kilimanjaro climb.

Babylon Lodge was started in the early 80’s by the Late Stephen Eric Lyamuya and his late wife Rosemary Stephen Lyamuya (daughter of the late Chief (Mangi) August Marealle) and since then it has been one of the best hotels in the Kilimanjaro region. It has constantly been renovated to keep up with the changes in the market and to ensure our guests enjoy quality yet affordable services. For guests who are staying here, they will find Babylon Lodge to be a home away from their usual home.

Babylon Lodge has 21 well-furnished rooms with comfortable beds private bathrooms with hot and cold water showers. The rooms are scattered in beautiful gardens that offer a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The well-manicured lawns are suitable for sitting while you enjoy the relaxing atmosphere or lying down and basking in the sun. Babylon Lodge has single, double and triple rooms.

Babylon Lodge offers free Wi-Fi to its guest and upon arrival, you will be given the password that will enable you to access the internet.

Being a remote location, the internet is not very fast but we try our best to ensure our guests can access their emails and send messages home
