It has as its dramatic backdrop the 4566 meters high Mt. Meru. Later evening drive back to Arusha.
Dinner and overnight at Masailand Safari Lodge: Half board.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park.

We depart from your lodge and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Although small in size, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two-thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the groundwater forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the Soda Lake. We enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodlands, and steep mountainsides. In the evening we will drive black to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn Lodge: Full board.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park.

we proceed to Olduvai Gorge, known as the ‘Cradle of Mankind’. It was here, in the Great Rift Valley, that the remains of early hominids dating back 2 million years were uncovered. Afterward, we visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world – Serengeti National Park. The word ‘Serengeti’ means ‘endless plains’, which describes the park’s 5,600 square mile boundary. Yet for its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game-viewing. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration that brings them from central Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephants, giraffes, and buffalo. As the lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas, and jackals stalk their meals, we enjoy a picnic lunch in this open arena.
Dinner and overnight at Kirimu Luxury Camp: Full board.

Day 5: Another Day Serengeti National Park.

We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, surrounded by wildebeest and zebras. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top, we can see out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain game; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions, and if you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting birdlife such as the elegant secretary birds and the flightless ostrich.
Dinner and overnight at Kirimu Luxury Camp: Full board.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Area.

Morning game drive in Serengeti; afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
We have a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading back into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater where we spend the night.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Tented Lodge: Full board.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour.

Sleeping near the Ngorongoro Crater means that we are one of the first vehicles to descend into the caldera. Ngorongoro is a Conservation Area rather than a national park. This means that the whole area is managed by both the animals and the local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive down to the crater floor, we will gain a glimpse of the Maasai’s lifestyle. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards (if you are lucky enough). The only animal you won’t see here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steeps sides of the crater. Later this afternoon we will leave the crater.
Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn Lodge: Full board.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park.

Today we head to Tarangire National Park. The park, which has its own source of water, comes into its own in the dry season as birdlife congregates on the Tarangire River, and herds of giraffe, zebra, buffalo, and, in particular, the elephant can be seen. Predators such as lions and leopards are also regularly spotted here.
Our lodge is located within the park. It has a large lookout area from where sundowners can be had whilst watching the game on the sweeping plains below later we will drive back to Arusha
Dinner and overnight at Masailand Safari Lodge: Full board.

Day 9: Fly back Home or Zanzibar.
